It’s reasonable to assume that, if all goes well, you can wear glasses 5 months after rhinoplasty surgery. The general advice is that you can’t expect to be able to rest your glasses on your nose for 6 weeks after rhinoplasty surgery.
But you won’t need to wait 6 weeks or 5 months before you can wear your glasses if you wear the Specs-Delight.
Yes you can wear glasses 5 months after rhinoplasty
The Specs-Delight is designed to allow you to wear glasses in a manner that will keep them off your nose and ears. It’s easy to fit and fully adjustable to suit you. You may find, as many have, that you will want to continue to wear your Specs-Delight beyond 5 months or the entire healing phase of your Rhinoplasty.
The Specs-Delight is good for holding your glasses just off your nose on a regular basis. This will help to prevent those marks that most glasses-wearers have to tolerate.
Take a close look at the Specs-Delight and join others in experiencing the bliss of having good vision from glasses without them always pressing on your nose.
Other things to consider if you need to wear glasses after rhinoplasty.
It will depend on the depth of surgery that’s taken place when deciding how or when to wear glasses after rhinoplasty.
If you’re lucky and the surgery is minor, you may be able to wear glasses just a few days after rhinoplasty surgery has taken place. But in most cases enough trauma will have been caused for the patient to expect to have to wait about 6 weeks.
However, very often, after rhinoplasty, there will be a splint fitted to the nose to help hold everything together for the healing process to work as it should. This splint can, for the short time that it’s there, hold your glasses off the nose. This will mean, in some cases, that you can wear glasses straight after rhinoplasty but the party will come to an end about a week after the surgery has taken place when the splint will need to come off.
With the splint removed, you won’t be able to wear glasses without some form of assistance to keep them off your nose.
Other ways to wear glasses after rhinoplasty
The first option appears to be the basic idea of using sticky-tape to stick your glasses to your forehead. This will work in the absence of anything else if you really need to wear glasses after rhinoplasty and the splint is no longer there to take the weight.
It’s doubtful that you would want to have sticky-tape stuck to your head for 5 months after rhinoplasty, so, thankfully there are other options.
There is a head-band from which a hook is suspended at the front of the head. This will hold your glasses off your nose. It’s an ideal engineering solution but the appearance may not be what you want.
This brings us, again, to the Specs-Delight. Fitted correctly the Specs-Delight will enable you to wear glasses after rhinoplasty. When you get to realise how effective the Specs-Delight is at holding your glasses off your nose and how it helps to prevent nose marks, you will be tempted to wear it regularly.
It’s when something is taken away
